Sustaining a freelance career or running a small creative organisation right now requires people to know where to look for money and how to access it. All of this requires new ways of working, from developing existing client & audience relations to being savvy with social media, to exploring new income opportunities. We know that confidence in being here in 12 months is low with many experienced professionals, and a new way of approaching earned and funded income is needed. That’s where our subsidised programme comes in.

Over 9 weeks, one day a week, you will be supported by experts who know your challenges and pains and how to overcome them. You will be supported by your programme tutor through a coaching informed approach that will help you:

  • Develop a growth plan that fits your values and ways of working
  • Explore new revenue streams that are within reach
  • Deepen your relationship with existing clients and audiences
  • Reduce reliance on Project Grants and other subsidy
  • Make bold & positive decisions with confidence

We have designed this with you in mind. It is practical, collaborative, and tailored to real-world challenges.

90% of the cost is subsidised through the national Skills Bootcamp programme, meaning it is affordable and accessible for individuals and companies who would otherwise struggle to invest in their futures right now.

What is a Skills Bootcamp?

A Skills Bootcamp is a government funded employability training offer. Subjects are varied but respond to skills gaps identified from working with employers. A Skills Bootcamp is a minimum 60hr course and open to residents of the UK who are over 19 years old and have the right to work in the UK.

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is just like a normal job but apprentices spend 20% of their contracted hours training to equip them for their role and future career.

Is it really free?

Apprenticeships are free to the learner, the employer may contribute a small amount to the training.
Skills Bootcamps are also free to the learner – if the learner works full time then their employer contributes 10% of the training if they are a small organisation and 30% if they are a large organisation.

Do you teach in person/online/hybrid?

We mostly teach in person, though some meetings and sessions are held online.
