Event Producing Training with St Pauls Carnival

Muti are offering a fully funded 9 week course in producing events for the creative industries.

Covering topics such as the life cycle of an event, budgeting, evaluation and fundraising, this course will be a chance to take your producing skills to the next level. Alongside the learning, you will meet and hear from professionals in the sector and widen your industry networks.

The training will also include career coaching and self development modules.

KEY INFORMATION:

Start Date: Wednesday 29th January, running for 9 weeks

Time: 10am - 5pm on Wednesdays

Venue: TBC, central Bristol

Full Fee: Free

Level: Level 3

  • The training will be mostly in person, with online support from your tutor and the MUTI team outside of this.

  • This is a level 3, entry level course based on IfATE accredited occupational standards, the aim is that you gain new skills, understanding of the sector and are supportedt into new work.

  • Aimed at starter or early career event managers/ creative producers, by completing this program you will be well-prepared for sustainable employment opportunities in the industry.

Eligibility

  • Aged 19 or over

  • Must have the right to work in the UK

  • Looking to work in the Bath/ Bristol area and meet residency requirements

OVERVIEW OF THE BOOTCAMP:

  • The lifecycle of an event from creative brief to production and delivery

  • Project Planning for a range of different event types and sizes

  • Event Logistics - licenses, supply chains, policies, working with suppliers

  • Modules on personal skills such as time management, personal and organisational values and effective communication

  • An introduction to fundraising from a variety of sources

  • Budget management for events

  • Successfully planning and using feedback, monitoring and evaluation

You will need access to a computer and an internet connection to be able to access the course resources and attend the online sections of the course.

As this is a level 3 course, a proven interest in the subjects will be required and we’ll carry out an initial assessment of your learning style to tailor the course to your requirements.
