Overview of Course Content:

• Health and Safety in working environments - fire, manual handling and working at heights

• Using tool and protective equipment safely

• Introduction to lighting - planning, powering and rigging different types of lamps and control desks, troubleshooting.

• Introduction to sound - theory, filters, desk control, rigging and using equipment such as speakers and microphones

• Introduction to counterweight flying - systems, weights, stress control and truss

• Using technical documents - stage, lighting and sound plans, risk assessments and cue sheets

• Skills training alongside Disney’s Head of Department’s on staging, lighting and props

You will need access to a computer and an internet connection to be able to access the course resources and attend the online sections of the course.

As this is a level 3 course, some relevant experience will be required and we’ll carry out an initial assessment of your learning style to tailor the course to your requirements.
