Exeter Phoenix are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Live Events Technician Apprentice.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the apprentice will be fully trained in every aspect of event production and delivery. This will include management and administration skills, sound and lighting. As part of a multi-artform venue with a constantly varied and diverse programme you will learn how an event is put together and work with musicians, comedians actors, producers and directors to put together ambitious productions.
Job Description of the role:
You will play an important role in the tech team, and the Exeter Phoenix as a whole, providing technical support and assistance.
You will help with load ins, set builds, setting up equipment, get outs and every aspect of the events at The Exeter Phoenix.
You will assist in the organisation, and administration of running events.
You will setup and operate lighting and sound equipment
You will help fix and maintain the equipment, and help ensure the smooth running of the venue.
You will participate in training and development as required, in order to meet personal and business needs.
Responsibilities:

You will assist in ensuring that all areas of the building are kept in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
You will understand and adhere to all H&S requirements to ensure employees, visitors and performers are safe.
Requirements:
An interest in working as a Live Events/Theatre Technician or in a similar role within the events industry.
Be willing to work evenings and weekends
Complete all course work and attend training sessions
A confident communicator
Attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to learn
Ability to receive instructions
Able to follow organisational policies on safety and behaviour
